My second book Review, Its about Fifty Shades of Grey by E L James I know that this book is both loved and hated in equel measurments. So please if your from the hate side be so kind to keep your comments nice cause there are people out there who love them and identify themselfs with this book. I am not bashing the books you love am I ;)
I don't remember where I found these books and how I came across them, Maybe someone mentioned it on twitter but yes those are minor details. I googled them and was curious like most people. As we speak now i've read each book three times so reviews about those other two are to come as well.
When literature student Anastasia Steele
goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who
is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is
startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve,
finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet
beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his
own terms.
Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic
tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational
businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by
demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a
daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets
and explores her own dark desires.
Above is what the back says about it, hmm the first part sounds like some kind of an adult novel and what does that 'on his own terms' mean. If you look at the second part of we find erotic and a hesistate Ana. Dark desires? It doesn't give to much away does it.
To say at least the book starts very much innocent, just the progress of Ana and Christian who get to know each other. It isn't that intresting. When you move along there comes more and more things that are not normal, in a way, Christian is bossy, very bossy and controling (Hmm most of us would run wouldn't they, I hate controling men) He doesn't do hearts and flowers and that also seems a little off to most people. Well yeah what ever happens after discussing of contracts (yes what contracts you wonder) and signing contracts and lots of negotiations you will end up with a lot of erotic reading material. If it is in or out of your book you must find out yourself.
My opinion is that I loved the book and that some part in me could relate to what was written into those pages but that is something personal I wont feel comfortable putting online in this way ;) The whole BDSM part in this book isnt a good reflection of how it really is. I've heard from people who are included in a Dom/sub relationship that this isn't BSM at all.., So Believe those people not the books!
Yes I KNOW the grammer in these books isn't up to the standard of most people in the world but it got published and people love it so yes. Me I am not bothered by them.
Yes what is there more to say about them, page turner if your into it. Its addicting and you want to read book 2 as fast as possible due to the end of the first book.
So beware ;)
